Discipline Plan

Classroom Procedures/Discipline Plan

Trezevant High School_____Chemistry Rm 131/Ms. Eubanks__________

Welcome students and families to High School Chemistry!  I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include:  Matter and Energy, Atomic Structure, Interactions of Matter, and Solutions involving Acids & Bases. All rules and procedures will be posted strategically around the classroom.  All students are expected to follow the rules posted, as well as the rules outlined in the Memphis City Schools handbook.  Direct violation of classroom and/or school rules will not be tolerated.  Students will be expected to come to class on time, ready to work, and with a productive positive attitude.  Three tardy’s will result in a reduction of conduct grade and/or a reduction of classroom grade.

Parents/Students will be notified of upcoming school events in a timely manner.  Please mark these dates on your calendar.  Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement.   We hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible.  We also would like you to review your child’s scientific notebook and monitor their academic progress.

Parents/Students are encouraged to visit the chemistry website to view important information about this year’s chemistry class.  There will be daily classroom assignments posted on this website.  Students that are absent can easily find the assignments they have missed.  The web-address is as follows:  www.thighchemistry.educatorpages.com. If you have any questions/concerns, or if you would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can contact me at (901) 416- 3760.  You  may also contact me by e-mail at eubankstonyam@mcsk12.net.
